Ruth Snyder was born on Sept. 8, 1921 in Pennsylvania of Brethren background. She was a graduate of Ashland College and Grace Theological Seminary (M. Div.). Snyder was a missionary with Encompass World Partners from 1941-1983. Ruth was a friend and coworker of Miss Myers, who refused permission to several people to write her biography, reserving that privilege for a fellow missionary. Snyder died in 1996.
